Traffic CasesApril 5-Dep. Josh Puckett worked a two-vehicle head-on accident on US 62, seven miles SW of Cynthiana.Alice T. Johnson was making a left turn off of US 62 onto Newtown-Leesburg Road, but turned too early and struck Donovan Arnett, who was attempting to turn right onto US 62, from Newtown-Leesburg Road.
April 2-Lt. Tuan Kreer worked a two-vehicle rear-end accident on US 62, five miles west of Cynthiana. Ryan Lawrence was driving westbound and rear-ended a vehicle driven by Chase Taylor, Winchester. Mr. Taylor was stopped as a Rumpke Waste Disposal truck, also in the westbound lane of traffic, was stopped in the roadway, picking up garbage.
April 2-Dep. Michael Thomas worked a single-vehicle accident on KY 392, five miles west of Cynthiana. Bradley C. Sparks said it was rainy with heavy winds and he was passed by a semi rig and trailer. He said the semi created a wind tunnel, he lost control and hit an embankment on the other side of the roadway.
April 4-Lt. Tuan Kreer was dispated to Dutch Chapel Road for a possible hit and run accident. Upon arrival, he met with Jason Richie who stated that someone driving a black Cadillac SUV hit his mailbox, got out of his vehicle and put the mailbox and its post in the back of his vehicle and fled the scene.
April 3-Lt. Joe Daniel took a report from Rodney Milner, who had acquired 11 guns through a legal eveiction process in Boone County. Mr. Milner acquired a gun safe that was set out by the evicted person and 11 guns were in the safe. He wanted to make sure none of those guns was reported as being stolen. All 11 guns were run through a national data-base, and none were reported to be stolen.
April 7-Dep. Josh Puckett cited Denver Tildon King with failure of owner to maintain required insurance, no registration receipt and no registration plates.
April 5-Dep. Josh Puckett cited and arrested Alice T. Johnson with DUI (controlled substance, excluding alcohol; 1st offense), possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.
April 4-Dep. Tony Fields served an arrest warrant from Franklin District Court to Michael Anthony Wislon, Frankfort, for failure to appear on charges of disregarding a stop sign, disregarding a traffic control device (stop light) aned operating on a suspended or revoked license.
April 4-Dep. Tony Fields served an arrest warrant from Woodford District Court to Michael Anthony Wilson, Frankfort, for failure to appear on a charge of operating on a suspended or revoked license.
