The Harrison County Fillies extended their win streak to 14 games on Monday night with a 10-0 (6 inning) victory over the Pendleton County Lady Cats on the Hilltop.
Bella Persinger picked up the win in the circle as the sophomore right hander went 6 innings allowing two hits and no runs while striking out five.
Harrison County got on the board in the bottom of the first inning. Owyn McCoy dropped a triple down the third base line with two outs scoring two runs.
The Fillies added a run in the bottom of the second inning. Allison Dye led off with a double. With one out Baylee Hudgins singled to right field scoring Dye and giving the Fillies a 3-0 lead after two innings.
After a scoreless third inning, the Fillies added four runs in the bottom of the fourth inning. Marissa Taylor led off with a walk. Hudgins singled putting runners on first and second. Shyanne Ross doubled to centerfield scoring Taylor making the score 4-0. Emma Hamm then singled to centerfield scoring Hudgins and Ross giving the Fillies a 6-0 lead. Hamm went to second on the throw. Persinger followed with a single to centerfield scoring Hamm and giving the Fillies a 7-0 lead after four innings.
Harrison County added two runs in the fifth inning. With two outs, Ross walked. Hamm followed with a single to right field. Bella Persinger then singled to left field scoring Ross. Hamm also scored when the ball was misplayed in left field giving the Fillies a 9-0 lead after five innings.
The Fillies added the final run in the bottom of the sixth inning. McCoy led off with a single to centerfield. With one out Dye walked. Taylor was safe on a misplayed sacrifice bunt loading the bases. With two outs Ross lined a single to left field ending the game at 10-0.
Ross, Hamm, Persinger, McCoy and Hudgins all had two hits each to lead the Fillies. Trista Ritchie and Dye added one hit each for the Fillies.
The Fillies improve to 25-4 on the year with the victory. the JV Fillies defeated the Pendleton County JV 11-1 in four innings to improve to 9-7 on the year.
