Despite late rains this past Tuesday, the boys and girls of Harrison County Tennis showed up to play with the boys walking away 5-0 and the girls 4-1 against Bracken County.

BOYS

Senior Chase Linkous came out hot with a 8-0 victory over Bracken’s Connor Sinclair.

Both Will Taylor and Nate Mitts won their single’s matches 8-3 against Jake Truesdell and Benito Golatzki respectively.

Eighth graders Bradley Brewer and John Clay won their doubles match against Levi Botkin and Carter Fryman 8-3.

Unfortunately, Josh Enriquez and Elliot Smith were rained out of their doubles match.

GIRLS

Leading the girls off Tuesday was Sarah Combs who pulled out a close victory against Veronica Pegura, 8-5.

Makenzie Burden played against Bracken’s Makenzie Rudd, losing 0-8.

In doubles, Molly Coleman partnered with Kate Gasser pulled out a 8-2 victory over Ainsley Hamilton and Kyleigh Lippert.

Sallie Dale and Rylie Hudgins dominated together in a 8-1 doubles victory against Kennedy Jefferson and Lainey Buchanan.

In addition to doubles, Kate Gasser went up 3-0 in her singles match against Chloe Jarrell but didn’t finish due to weather.
