Harrison County fell to below .500 Tuesday as they lost to Campbell County, 55-39, on the Hilltop.
Saturday evening the Thorobreds had evened their record to 10-10 with a stirring 58-56 win over the Fleming County Panthers.
The early part of the Fleming County game was a back-and-forth affair with four ties and 11 lead changes.  With five minutes left in the second quarter, Fleming County held a 23-22 lead only to see the Breds go on a 12-to-1 run.

Barring any personal injury, Friday’s doubleheader with Pendleton County could not have gone worse for the Harrison County Fillies and Thorobreds.
The Fillies held a 20-10 lead midway through the second quarter only to see the Pendleton County Lady Cats come back to post a 43-36 win.
The Thorobreds played what was perhaps their worst performance of the season in losing by a whopping 66-38 in the nightcap.

The Harrison County Thorobreds junior varsity won the 38th District Championship with wins over Robertson County and Pendleton County Monday.
The Robertson County game saw the Breds jump out to a 17-3 first-quarter advantage and never look back in the easy victory.
LaKendrick Boyer had a big game in the opener as he poured in 22 points using his size advantage to overpower the Black Devil’s defenders.

The long layoff did not seem to affect the Lady Camels of Campbell County Monday night as they breezed to an 85-34 win over the Harrison County Fillies, in Alexandria.
The Fillies got off to a slow start, falling behind 9-0, before 8th grader Katelin Ecklar scored on a rebound of her own missed shot. After the Ecklar basket Campbell County took advantage of turnovers and missed shots to score 30 unanswered points to put the game away in the first half.

  • Super Bowl is set, can the...

Super Bowl No. 50 is set with the No. 1 seed in the AFC playing the No. 1 seed in the NFC.
The question in my mind is will it be worth watching? I am not one that watches the game for the halftime show or the commercials.
In fact, I cannot tell you what the halftime show is this year nor do I really care.  I am pretty sure that it isn’t the Beatles or Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons so I probably will not watch it. That will be my allotted time for celery and carrot sticks with some water maybe with lemon.
