  • ‘Things are here today and gone tomorrow’

Since 2004, I have had this recurring dream.

I am in my house and, though it is completely furnished with my belongings, it is still under construction. I can see open places in the ceiling. The roof has only half its shingles in place, the rest is thin tar paper.

  • Lovelace Benefit organizers thank community

    To the editor:
We would like to take this opportunity to thank our community for the outpouring of love and support that was shown Saturday, Sept. 28, at Flat Run Veterans’ Park during the Larry Lovelace Benefit.
From the time we started organizing this in June we began receiving support from so many people. You wanted to help Larry in his battle with lymphoma cancer, because you love him as much as we do. Seeing the end result on Sept. 28 was an amazing thing that touched us in a way that is hard to describe.

  • Democrat needs pictures from the past and present

Before you know it 2013 will be over.
However, before we get to the Rockin’ New Year’s Eve, there are some very important things coming your way.
The much-loved Taste of Home Cooking School, which is hosted by The Cynthiana Democrat and Cynthiana Lions Club in cooperation with Ken’s NewMarket is coming Tuesday, Nov. 12.
If you’ve never been, you should consider making this year a first.
