Recently there’s been some much needed change around town. It can be seen by  taking a stroll through downtown, whether it’s the beautiful murals, the  freshly painted businesses or the terrific new shops. With all of these great  changes, there’s still more to be done.

I am writing to show my continued support for Harrison County Sheriff Shain Stephens.
On a personal level, I have known Shain for decades and consider him to be a valued friend. When my son married his daughter, we became family. While this is important, it is not the reason I’m supporting Shain in his bid to be re-elected.
I support Shain Stephens for Sheriff because of the following:
    •His experience
•His compassion for his fellow man
•His efforts to eradicate drugs from Harrison County

We won’t accept letters of mass mailings. With e-mail so prevalent, it’s tougher to determine “mass mailings.” However, if someone sends a letter from Indianapolis endorsing one of our local hopefuls, it’s pretty obvious that it’s from a mailing list.

I am Sue Lake, a practicing attorney in Cynthiana, and I am very excited about the upcoming election. I taught school for quite a while, and many of the folks running were in my class. Others I have worked with a great deal from this law office.

An estimated one million people in the U.S. live with Parkinson’s disease (PD), the second-most common neurodegenerative disease after Alzheimer’s and the 14th-leading cause of death in our country. As of 2017, over 12,000 Kentuckians had been diagnosed with PD. Symptoms vary, but can include tremors, difficulty with balance, swallowing, chewing and speaking; and cognitive impairment.
