The Cynthiana City Commission proclaimed Wednesday, June 20, as Cynthiana Democrat Day. The proclamation is to honor the newspaper’s 150th anniversary. The Cynthiana Democrat and staff will be celebrating the newspaper’s 150th year anniversary next week with a special edition.
On Wednesday, June 27, the first 150 customers to purchase next week’s edition will receive a piece of cake and punch.
The paper usually hits the stands in front of the Democrat office at 302 Webster Ave. by 3 p.m.
