    A Cynthiana man remains in jail on sex-related charges stemming from two incidents that occurred on the same day in April.

    The proposal for a four percent revenue increase in the Harrison County School’s general budget will add about $181,000 to the school’s bottom line, according to Superintendent Andy Dotson.

    Youth football, cheerleading sign-ups
    The Harrison County youth football and cheerleading sign-ups are being taken at the concession stand at Ingles Stadium. The sign-ups will be held Monday through Thursday from 5-6 p.m., rain or shine.
    Football will be Flag (Lower and Upper).
    Cheerleading is for Pre-K through sixth grade.

    Traffic Cases
    Aug. 16 -- At 4:59 p.m., a non-injury accident occurred  on Edgewater Road South about five miles south of the city limits. Shala Hutsell of Paris was making a left turn from U.S. 27 south when she lost control and struck a black plank fence.
    Aug. 17 -- At 10:04 p.m., an injury accident occurred on Ky. 1842 East about six miles west of town. Paul Fugate of Rocky Springs Road was traveling east when he left the road and struck a tree.
