It’s a local trend that has officials concerned.

Since the beginning of 2014,  law enforcement has seen a climb in drug overdoses and suspect that many of those can be attributed to heroin.

Incidences of apparent heroin abuse and treatments for overdoses in Harrison County are “at levels that I have never seen before,” commented Christina Buckler, RN, Emergency Department manager for Harrison Memorial Hospital (HMH).

The Harrison County Fillies soccer team controlled the match from start to finish Wednesday night in the Athletic Complex taking a 4-1 win over Montgomery County.

  • Who or what is the moral compass of sports

I am having so much fun as of late I hate to write a serious article, but this has been weighing on my mind and I feel the need to share.
When I was a youngster back in the Middle Ages I never once thought of a sports person as a hero or someone that was going to show me right from wrong.
Don’t get me wrong, I admired athletes for their ability in their chosen fields and wanted to play like them but that was it.
They were playing a game and not being a role model for me.
