  • Federal government takes action on radon gas to prevent lung cancer deaths

    January is National Radon Action Month, according to The EPA. Health agencies throughout the United States have joined forces to promote action against the leading cause of lung cancer for non-smokers. The American Lung Association, Centers for Disease Control, and National Cancer Institute all agree that radon is a National health problem and encourage radon testing during the January call to action.

  • Open auditions for Dearly Departed next week

    Open auditions for “Dearly Departed,” a comedy by David Bottrell and Jesse Jones will be held at the Rohs Opera House on Jan. 21 and 22 from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. Auditions will be cold reads from the script. No prior preparation needed

    Harrison County Clerk Linda Furnish has added a few names to the election hopefuls.

    Although he has not formally filed, former County Judge-Executive Dean Peak said he throwing in hat back in the ring.
