    Case reports
    Dec. 3 -- At 9:48 p.m., Seth Smith of Walmart Loss Prevention, reported that he had stopped Michael Rison, Paris, who was attempting to leave the store without paying for a vacuum. Rison was charged with second degree criminal trespass and theft by unlawful taking under $500.
    Dec. 9 -- At 10:36 p.m., William T. Fryman, Pleasant Street, reported that he had lost his medication from his pocket somewhere between Oddville Avenue to Pleasant Street. He told police he backtracked but was unable to locate the bottle.

    Jan. 2 -- At 11:45 a.m. a non-injury accident occurred on KY 36 three miles outside town. Zachary Mastin lost control of his vehicle when he tried to make a sharp turn on a wet roadway. He crashed into a state highway sign and went through a fence.
    Jan. 2 -- At 4 p.m., a non-injury accident occurred on Old Lair Road about four miles outside of town. Zachary Madsen hit an icy spot in the roadway and slid off the road into a fence.

    Dec. 19 -- At 10:04 p.m., a non-injury accident occurred on KY 356 two miles from town. Eva Fischbach ran off the road when she swerved to avoid an animal.
    Dec. 20 -- At 8:45 a.m., a non-injury accident occurred on US 62 eight miles outside of town. Eric Thomason struck a car driven by Kristi Jacobs at the intersection of US 62 and KY 1842.

    Dec. 15 -- At 6:08 p.m., a non-injury accident occurred on US 27 two miles from town. Bryn Free hit a deer.

    Dec. 9 -- At 8:33 a.m. a non-injury accident occured on US 62 two miles outside of town. Ross Jacobson lost control of his vehicle and hit a fence.
    Dec. 13 – At 7:50 a.m., a non-injury two-vehicle accident occurred on US 62 over a mile from downtown. Eric O’Brien was turning left into Rick’s Auto when he with a vehicle driven by David Duncan in the oncoming lane.

    Dec. 7 -- Melissa L. Adams, 35, was arrested at Walmart and charged with theft by unlawful taking, shoplifting.
    Dec. 8 -- Leonard M. Morris, 21, was issued a warning on East Pike Street for disregarding stop sign.
    Dec. 8 -- Dillan N. Evans, 20, was arrested on a Harrison County warrant for first degree trafficking in a controlled substance, heroin.
    Dec. 9 -- David Rice, 52, was cited on Riverside Drive for no/expired registration plate.
