    Accidents
    July 20--Dep. Dean Hutchison worked a three-vehicle, side-swipe accident on US 27, six miles south of Cynthiana. Chirstopher Gann, riding a motorcycle, did not see George Velat stopped in front of him waiting for traffic clear to turn left onto Edgewater Pike. Gann applied his brakes and skidded into the southbound lane, causing Eric Marshall, Salyersville, driving southbound, to swerve, hitting a guardrail.

    Case reports
    July 2 -- At 3:51 p.m., police arrived at 135 Cherokee Drive to serve a warrant on Charles Kiskaden. While there it was determined that a child had been bitten by a dog. The dog was turned over to Animal Control and the child was to be taken to HMH to be checked out.
    July 2 -- At 7:29 p.m., Quentin Brill, Cynthiana, reported that someone took a half of a ton of steel beams from his business, Steel Trailer, at 120 Waterworks Abdallah Park Road. Estimated value of the stolen property is $750.

    July 16 -- Chad A. Barnes, 44, was arrested on a Harrison County warrant for contempt of court.
