    Traffic Cases
    May 25--Dep. Robert Peak worked a single-vehicle accident on KY 32, one mile west of Cynthiana. Dakota Knipper was traveling westbound when he stated that his floor mat became lodged against his accelerator, as it was approaching another westbound vehicle. Knipper swerved to avoid rear-ending that vehicle and ran off the road striking a mailbox. The vehicle continued off the roadway through 143 feet of wire fence and wooden fence posts before coming to rest in a field.

    CYNTHIANA POLICE DEPARTMENT
    Case reports
    May 15 -- At 5:49 a.m., police were dispatched to Walmart regarding three females who were suspected of shoplifting. Police arrested Shelby Barnes on charges of theft of identity without consent and served two warrants from Scott County. One of the females got away from police and the third was cleared.

    Traffic Cases
    May 15--Dep. Joe Daniel worked a single-vehicle accident on Shadynook Pike, seven miles east of Cynthiana. Buddy Berryman ran off the roadway on his motorcycle, striking a mailbox post with his head. He was transported to HMH and later to UK.
    May 20--Joe Daniel worked a single-vehicle accident on Newtown-Leesburg Road, 10 miles west of Cynthiana. Dakota L. Smith lost control of his vehicle in a curve and eventually struck a home and attached garage, owned by Sandy S. Powers.

    Case reports
    May 1 -- At 12:04 p.m., Barry Zumwalt, Cynthiana-Harrison County Recreation director, reported that a trailer had been taken from River Road ball park.
    May 1 -- At 7:10 p.m., a Cynthiana woman reported that she had been receiving harassing communications of a sexual nature.
    May 2 -- At 8:44 a.m., police were called to Harrison County Middle School where two students were involved in an argument that turned physical. The students were disciplined and one will be charged with terroristic threatening.
