• Fall registration continues at Licking Valley Campus through Aug. 18

    It’s not too late to register for fall classes at Maysville Community and Technical College/Licking  Valley Center (MCTC/LVC).  
    Registration for fall classes is taking place now and continues until the semester begins on Aug. 18.
    The fall semester will also have a variety of classes from which to choose. Some of the classes being offered are art, nursing, biology, business, communication, writing, history, early childhood, fitness, math, psychology,  reading, religion, Spanish  and sociology.

    He may not go so far as to say he’s completely turning in his Wranglers and boots for khakis and ties, but Todd Brannock is moving from agriculture to administration.

  • 2013 Jim Claypool Conservation Art and Writing contest winners named

    Mission: H2O!  This was the theme for the 2013 Jim Claypool Conservation Art and Writing Contest sponsored by the Kentucky Farm Bureau Federation and Kentucky Association of Conservation Districts.
    This year, every school in the county participated in the contests.  
    There were 206 entries in the writing contest between the middle school and high school, and 335 entries in the art contest from every elementary school.

    Annastasia Hicks has been named to the Dean’s List for the winter/spring terms at Centre College, an honor reserved for students who maintain at least a 3.60 grade point average.
    Hicks is the daughter of John and Tamera Hicks of Cynthiana and is a graduate of Harrison County High School.

    Maysville Community and Technical College releases the Dean’s and President’s Honors List for full and part-time students for the Spring 2014 semester.

    Karissa Lee Anderson of Cynthiana is one of 365 Eastern Kentucky University Dean’s Award recipients for the Spring 2014 semester.
    Anderson is a senior Psychology major at EKU.
    To earn the Dean’s Award, students must achieve Dean’s List honors at EKU for three semesters, not necessarily consecutive. A lapel pin is presented to students by the dean of their academic college.
