    Zack Pulliam of Cynthiana was named to the Transylvania University Dean’s List for fall 2018. To be named to the dean’s list, a student must achieve at least a 3.5 grade point average during the term.
    Transylvania University, located in the heart of downtown Lexington, Ky., is ranked in the top 15 percent of the nation’s four-year colleges by The Princeton Review, which cites its community-driven, personalized approach to a liberal arts education through its 46 majors.

    MCTC DEAN’S LIST,
    PRESIDENT’S HONORS
    Dr. Thomas Ware, Maysville Community and Technical College’s chief academic officer, has released the Dean’s list and the President’s Honors list for full and part-time students for the fall 2018 semester.
    MCTC offers associate degrees, diplomas and certificates in nearly 30 programs of study with classes offered on the Licking Valley Campus in Cynthiana, the Maysville Campus in Mason County, the Montgomery Campus in Mt. Sterling and the Rowan Campus in Morehead as well as online.

  • PICKETT

    Austin Shea Pickett, a 2018 graduate of Harrison County High School, graduated BMT  on Feb 8, 2019 as an Airman First Class.
    He is the son of James and Angelique Sybert, and was born in New London, Conn. His siblings are Kaylee Pickett, Brendan Koss, Allison Sybert, Austin Sybert and Mackenzie Sybert.
    Pickett plans on making a career in the Airforce and pursue Officers Training.

  • Harrison County Schools compete in Governors Cup

    All six Harrison County public schools competed in the 2019 Governor's Cup Academic Competitions, for their respective grade levels, recently. Northside Elementary won the district competition, defeating the other three elementary schools in the county. Harrison County Middle School won its District, back in January, and finished third in the 18-team regional competition on Feb. 2. Harrison County High School won its regional competition.

    The University of Kentucky College of Arts and Sciences announces that the following local students were among 1,751 undergraduates who qualified for the Fall 2018 College of Arts and Sciences Dean’s List. They were:
    Meghan Clem, a junior majoring in Political Science.
    Mary Levi, a junior majoring in Psychology.
    Christopher Mashburn, a senior majoring in Biology.
    Breanna Skidmore, a senior majoring in International Studies.
    Amelia Spahn, a junior majoring in English.

    DEAN’S LIST
    Midway University announces the students who have been named to its Dean’s List for the 2018 fall semester. To be named to the list, a student must be classified as full-time and obtain a 3.60 grade point average for the semester. There were 237 students who made the Dean’s List for the fall semester.
    Harrison County students were: Bailey Adamson, Tonya French, Kenzi Graves, Autumn Gray, Lanna Wilson.
