Squash and cucumber pests

-A A +A
By Jeneen Wiche

I can hardly believe how beautiful my tomato plants look and I do believe I will have a ripe one well before July 4th!
But what I am really anticipating is our first harvest of summer squash. I love squash and am happy to eat it for dinner every night.
Last year the garden was mostly a bust so I have high hopes for a bumper squash crop this year.
Mostly gardeners complain about losing their plants to the squash vine borer, but I have managed to offset that pest pressure by delaying planting in order to miss peak egg-laying time.
