The Cynthiana Community Events Committee will be hosting the annual Maiden City Pursuit Saturday morning, June 9, at the Old Jail, at the corner of Poplar and Pike streets.
Registration will be from 9-9:50 a.m. with the race following at 10 a.m.
Teams of two will be racing through town looking for answers to clues given by the committee. Some of the locations will be prize spots for the first to arrive. Once a team arrives at the location, they need to take a cell phone picture as evidence that they successful completed that clue.
The first to arrive back at the jail with all of the answers and photo evidence, will win $100.
The race must be completed on foot with the exception of electric wheelchairs. There can be no bicycles or cars used.
“The clues are pretty tough this year,” said Roger  Slade, a member of the committee.
The cost for entering is $40 per team. There is no pre-registration.
