Harrison County approved for Dead Animal Removal Assistance Program

The Kentucky Agricultural Development Board approves $7,500 at their monthly meeting in support of a Deceased Farm Animal Removal Program in Harrison County. The Harrison County Fiscal Court submitted a proposal to the Harrison County Agricultural Development Council and the Kentucky Agricultural Development Board.

The Deceased Farm Animal Removal Program was established as an interim measure to facilitate the coordination of environmentally sound and cost-effective disposal of deceased livestock for Kentucky’s producers Funds through this program will assist with the expenses of an acceptable disposal program, such as contracting for removal, incineration, composting or other methods that meet Kentucky statutes, for costs incurred after July 1, 2009.
