Group searching for descendents of Brig. Gen. John Croxton

-A A +A

The Sgt. Elijah P. Marrs Camp No. 5, Sons of the Union Veterans of the Civil War, is searching for descendents of Brigadier General John Croxton, who is buried in the Paris Cemetery.
The camp is planning a service in Croxton’s honor in late October at his gravesite.
“The camp has been searching for and re-dedicating Civil War veteran’s gravestones during the 150th anniversary of the war,” said Phillip Seyfrit, commander of the Sons of Union Veterans camp based in Lexington. “We thought this year we would honor Croxton.”
