Case reports
May 19 – At 3:38 p.m., police were called to a fight on Mill Street. The three subjects involved were each charged with harassment, including Joseph D.Thomas, Lyndsay Mann and Aaron Lukins. According to the report filed by Ptl. Harold Whitlock, Thomas was threatened to be hit with a table leg by Lukins, and was struck in the face by Mann. Mann and Lukins were threatened with a six-inch hunting knife by Thomas. The fight was the apparently about money.
May 19 – At 5:01 p.m., police were called to assist the ambulance service with a call on Rodgers Park.
May 19 – At 5:11 p.m., Osie Jackson reported that a refrigerator and stone that she had loaned to Keith Harwood and Kathy Goins was taken from their Old Lair Road home.
May 20 – At 9:03 p.m., Carolyn Wilson called police regarding neighborhood children playing basketball in the street at night.
May 19 – At 9:22 p.m., police were called regarding the threat of a juvenile girl wanting to commit suicide.
May 19 – At 9:41 p.m., police were called to Walmart regarding a subject inside the store chasing other people with a stun gun.
May 20 – At 3:19 p.m., Linda Harwood reported that a $100 Kohl’s gift card was stolen from her purse.
May 20 – At 5:33 p.m., Hope White reported that a purse was taken from her vehicle while she was at Family Dollar Store. The purse contained $650 in chase.
May 20 – At 6:10 p.m., a report was made of $102 worth of steaks being taken from Ken’s NewMarket. Police charged Lea M. Baker with theft by unlawful taking, shoplifting.
May 21 – At 8:54 a.m., Adam Knipper, North Miller Street, reported that he had been assault overnight but does not know who attacked him.
May 21 – At 3:28 p.m., police were called to Cherokee Drive where individuals were involved in a heated argument over one of the vehicles going the wrong way on the one-way portion of Cherokee Drive.
May 21 – At 3:50 p.m., police were called to Walmart where a woman was reported to have taken $27.64 worth of merchandise without paying. Police charged Kristina Martinez with theft by unlawful taking, shoplifting.
May 21 – At 5:17 p.m., police were called to Delta Court for a welfare check.
May 21 – At 5:40 p.m., Jessica Bailey, Skyview Drive, reported that the neighbor’s dog bit her in the leg, breaking the skin. The dog was put under quarantine for 11 days.
May 21 – At 7:15 p.m., Edith Young reported that her neighbor’s dog on Spruce Drive, bit her daughter.
May 21 – At 7:13 p.m., police were called to an Old Lair Road residence where a child was alleged to have been thrown to the ground. Police talked to the child and the parent and found no evidence to support the complaint.
May 22 – At 2:02 a.m., a disturbance was reported on Pike Street.
May 22 – At 2:01 p.m., a report was made at Ken’s NewMarket of Lea M. Baker being back in the store. She was told not to come back and was charged with shoplifting. Once outside, police asked what she had on her person. She allegedly had sausages around her ankles and steaks in her pants.

May 22 – At 7:21 p.m., police were called to Harrison Avenue for an out-of-control juvenile, who was visiting with his child and girlfriend at her home. When asked to leave, the boy became irate and refused to leave.
May 23 – At 2:09 p.m., Larry Wachter reported that his wallet and prescription were taken from inside his vehicle’s console while the vehicle was parked on Bridge Street.
May 23 – At 8:48 p.m., police were called to Poplar Street where two individuals had been in an argument and that each had put their hands on the other.

May 24 – At 7:14 a.m., Constable Marty Hall reported that the door to the former All Seasons Tan and Laundry had been busted and flung off the hinge.
