THURSDAY, Feb. 18

Bookmobile. The Cynthiana-Harrison County Public Library Bookmobile will be available Thursday, Feb. 18 at 2:30 p.m. at Edgemont; and from 3-3:30 p.m. in White Oak.

Harrison County Historical Society will meet Thursday, Feb. 18 at 7 p.m. at the Cynthiana-Harrison County Public Library Annex.  The program will be the Historical Show and Tell. Attendees are requested to bring in one or more items of interest and tell a little about the items. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend.

FRIDAY, Feb. 19

Bookmobile. The Cynthiana-Harrison County Public Library Bookmobile will be available Friday, Feb. 19 at 10:30 a.m. at Cynthiana Baptist Daycare.

SATURDAY, Feb. 20

Memory Heart Group. (A group to remember the deceased by making a heart pillow out of an article of their clothing) Will meet Saturday, Feb. 20 at 1 p.m. at Hospice of the Bluegrass, 1317 US 62E, Cynthiana, KY. SUNDAY, Feb. 21

Cynthiana Cycling Club. The Cynthiana Cycling Club Weekly Bicycle Ride will be held Sunday afternoon, Feb. 21, weather permitting (above 40 degrees and dry roads). All teenagers (and younger riders if accompanied by an adult) and adults are invited to ride, both beginners and experienced. All riders receive a free highly-visible screaming yellow Cycling Club T-Shirt. If needed, bicycles and helmets will also be provided for all wishing to ride, but all riders must contact Peter or Kim Newberry at 234-5285 prior to Saturday, Feb. 20 to reserve a bike and/or helmet and for more information.

MONDAY, Feb. 22

HCMS Council. The Harrison County Middle School Site-Based Decision Making Council will meet Monday, Feb. 22 at 4:30 p.m. in the school library. The meeting is open to the public.

Bookmobile. The Cynthiana-Harrison County Public Library Bookmobile will be available Monday, Feb. 22 from 10:30 a.m. to noon at Community Action Childcare Center and Harrison County Adult Daycare.

TUESDAY, Feb. 23

Preschool Storytime. Tuesday, Feb. 23 from 10-10:30 a.m. for ages 2-5 in the Feix Community Room at the Cynthiana-Harrison County Public Library.

Mix and Match Cupcakes. Tuesday, Feb. 23 at 5 p.m. for grades K-5th in the Feix Community Room at the Cynthiana-Harrison County Public Library. Sign-up by calling 234-4881 or stop by the front desk.

Cynthiana City Commission will meet Tuesday, Feb. 23, 5:30 p.m., upstairs City Hall in the commissioners’ room. The meetings are open to the public.

Fiscal Court of Harrison County will meet Tuesday, Feb. 23, 5:30 p.m., meeting room at the Harrison County Sheriff’s building (former KU building). The meetings are open to the public.

WEDNESDAY, Feb. 24

All programs provided by the Cynthiana-Harrison County Public Library are free unless otherwise noted. All programs except for storytime or unless otherwise noted will take place in the library annex (between Biancke’s and the Shell station).

Library Cookbook. The Cynthiana-Harrison County Public Library is preparing a cookbook featuring favorite recipes from members of the community. Names will be printed with each recipe submitted. Psycho-Educational Group (for adult survivors of sexual assault or childhood sexual abuse). The Bluegrass Rape Crisis Center will be offering a nine-week psycho-educational group for adult survivors of sexual assault or childhood sexual abuse in the Lexington office on Mondays, Feb. 1 through March 29, 2010.
