UPDATE: Missing boy found and safe at a residence of friend.

A 13-year-old Cynthiana boy is missing.

Sgt Wilbur Gross said Chaz Ray Jones had a bus pass to go home from school Friday afternoon with a friend. He didn't go home with that friend but supposedly went with someone else.

Jones was last seen at the Cynthiana-Harrison County Public Library at 2 p.m. Saturday. He was reported missing at 2:30 p.m. Sunday.

Gross described the white teen as having strawberry blonde hair, of medium build, 4-foot tall, blue eyes, 108 pouds and light complexion.

He has a beauty mark on his right lip and a birth mark on his lower back.

"He is not believed to be a runaway," said Gross. "He's just not where he's supposed to be."

He was wearing a blue UK knit hat, blue jacket, khaki pants, black and white high-top shoes. He was also carrying a black back pack.

Gross said he is on medication that needs to be taken.

Anyone who may have seen Jones or knows of his whereabouts, contact the Cynthiana Police Department at 234-7100.
