Senior Grant Bennett was not his own worst enemy Monday as he pitched against the 13-3 Scott County Cardinals in Georgetown.
He gave up just six base hits and walked four while throwing two wild pitches as the Cardinals won 10-0 in five innings.  His and his teammates fielding was the big problem as they combined for seven errors with Bennett picking up three of them.

  • Busy times on the Hilltop

The action on the Hilltop has been at a fever pitch for some time and will be even busier this weekend.
It will not be as busy as it would have been with the Vernon Bibb softball tournament cancelled but still there will be a lot going on.
The action all started with the 60th Annual Lions Auction followed by the Rotary/Relay for Life pancake breakfast and the Frankie Taylor Memorial Easter Egg Hunt.
