Coach Kim Furnish will have the deepest Fillies team since her tenure began, as the Harrison County Fillies begin preparation for the 2016-17 basketball season.
The Fillies actually did not just begin preparation they have been working at it since the last season ended.

  • Officiating: How is it?

I really like to talk about football officiating.  I like to listen to others talk about football officiating.  I especially like to listen when the people doing the talking think they know the rules but couldn’t be more wrong.
There is always a lot of talk about officiating in sports of all kind but in my opinion more people are wrong about, or over-react, to football officiating.
I have many examples, though not as many as I might, because I rarely sit in the stands during a high school game.

The Harrison County Thorobreds came up short in their bid to win the District 7 championship Friday night on the Hilltop losing 19-12 to Bourbon County.
The results leave both teams with an identical 3-1 record in district play with the Colonels now owning the head-to-head tiebreaker.
The performance by the Breds was not up to the standard that had been put forth in recent weeks by Coach Neil Furnish’s charges.

The Harrison County Fillies stay in the Tenth Region volleyball tournament was a short one as they dropped a three set match to Campbell County Tuesday night.
The first set was won by the Lady Camels 25-12 as the Fillies started a little nervous and fell behind early in this set.
