The Harrison County Middle School Volleyball Fillies found out how hard it is to beat a team four times in one season Tuesday night as they fell to Scott County in straight sets 14-21 and 11-21.
The Fillies had beaten Scott County 21-9, 21-18 just last Friday but could not get the job done on Tuesday.  This was in the semifinals of the Bluegrass Conference Tournament which is being played in the HCMS gym on the Hilltop.

Darnell was honored before the game by the Fillies as she was presented with her framed jersey in a mid-court ceremony.  There was also a reception after the game.  Darnell in her Senior Night performance grabbed a team high 10 rebounds and scored two points.

  • Some football happenings and...

The All State football teams were released last week with at least one glaring mistake.  Harrison County’s Logan Kellione who led the state in tackles for the biggest part of the season and finished third was omitted from the team.
Kellione did not even get an honorable mention spot.  When a player has the opposition running special sets away from them and still leads the state in tackles he must have some special talent.  That was the case for Kellione for much of the season.
