The Tee-Ball Tournament began Monday evening with the undefeated regular season champion Yankees facing the Reds.
The first inning was the turning point of the game as the Yankees struck for the maximum six runs in the top of the inning and held the Reds to one in the bottom half.  An exciting triple play pulled off by the Yankees’ Simon Jenkins was the big play of the game in the opening inning.

  • Is NASCAR fading away?

I am a pretty big NASCAR fan, not a spend-all-of-my-money-going-to-many-races kind of fan, but a fan never the less.
I enjoy going to a race if I do not have to walk miles from the parking spot and have a seat close but not too close to the track.
Too close is deafening and too far away makes it hard for a seeing impaired person to tell what number is what when the car races past at 200-plus mph.

More than 130 people filled the Elks Lodge Hall as the Cynthiana-Harrison County Baseball Alumni Association inducted their second class to the Alumni Hall of Fame.
The evening began with a hospitality hour followed by Alumni Association Chairman Jim Fuller’s welcome to the attendees.
Dr. Larry Bishop had the invocation followed by a meal served by David Turner.  Turner’s barbeque is well known for its excellent taste and quality.
