Fishing for many species slows in the daytime hours during the heat of summer, but smallmouth bass who inhabit Kentucky streams bite willingly even on the hottest days.
Kentuckians who enjoy canoeing or kayaking are lucky to live in a state with bountiful amounts of cool, flowing water that hold smallmouth bass. It is hard to beat a summer day spent paddling a tree canopied Kentucky stream, navigating stream drops and catching smallmouth after smallmouth.

The information is more difficult to make interesting in the summer because the sports are generally involving the very young or high school sports that are AAU or some camp sports, which are not really to the general interest.

Six Harrison County football players, three HCHS assistant coaches and Breds head coach Neil Furnish joined head coach Ray Graham for an all star football contest last weekend in Morehead.
Graham, who was forced out as head coach at Rowan County after this past season, was back on the gridiron last week preparing for the contest, along with his former players, who were now serving as assistant coaches.
