After beginning the season 2-0 with easy wins over Campbell County and Bryan Station, the Harrison County Fillies ran into tough sledding last weekend in Morehead.

Campbell County’s Lady Camels only placed three runners on the bases all night as they fell to Harrison County 12-0 Tuesday on the Hilltop.
Pitchers Jami Davis and Bailey Conley did not allow a base hit and combined to strike out six while walking one and hitting one batter.  Campbell County did have a runner reach third base in the second inning when Ashley Leight walked, stole second and advanced to third on a fielder’s choice.

  • I always want to be different

This is a most busy time of the year with basketball in tournament time and the spring and summer sports just getting underway and my mind is full of things to write.  However, I always want to be different from the other sports writers and so my topic or topics will not be what almost all of the Kentucky writers are filling their papers with this week.
I do not know anything that I could add to the praise and adoring being heaped on the University of Kentucky basketball team so I am going to leave that to the other writers.
