  • Thorobreds face tough schedule...

Despite losing 35 points per game from the 2012-13 squad the Harrison County Thorobreds are returning a veteran group to attack the 2013-14 schedule.
Gone are guards Scott Kendall, Jordan Stubbs and Tommy Vallandingham, forwards Jordan Martin and Elijah Gross and center Tyler Martin from the 38th District Champs of one year ago.
Along with them they took a lot of game experience with many points and rebounds.
Coach Larry Kendall has some experienced players to take their spots but they must be molded into a cohesive unit.

Coach Rhonda Klette returns everyone from last year’s team that defeated the Fillies 68-55 last year plus a couple of seniors who have joined the squad.

  • Winter sports show great promise

The winter sports are upon us and today on the anniversary of the Gettysburg Address, given by that famous Hoosier Abraham Lincoln, I thought I would extol the virtues of the Harrison County High School teams.
As you know, the teams have been preparing themselves for the last several weeks to get started on the right foot.
