  • Breds have two poor performances...

Harrison County’s soccer Thorobreds lost last Thursday to Paris in the Athletic Complex in a game that Coach Nick Hill described as one where they ”just went through the motions.”
When the Thorobreds got caught watching the ball bounce in the penalty area, Paris took a 1-0 lead on a rebound shot off a Chris Ortiz stop. This gave the Greyhounds a 1-0 lead at the half.

Monday night was Senior Night for the Harrison County Fillies soccer team. Five seniors were honored between the junior varsity and varsity contests in the Athletic Complex.
Kassidy Cook, Chelsea Ingram, Taylor Martin, Morgan Puckett and Hannah Thomas were recognized for their hard work and dedication throughout their careers with the Fillies soccer team.
The match saw the Fillies get back on the winning track after Saturday’s 1-nil loss at Western Hills broke their four-game winning streak.

  • He was a great man

Even though the Breds are 0-5 and face Highlands this week there were still some positive things that happened on the Hilltop Friday.
First though before I go into that, I want to congratulate Jerry Dawson on his hole in one Sunday.
I was surprised that this was Jerry’s first hole in one since he is a good player and plays often.  I saw on Facebook Sunday afternoon that Jerry made the shot and since I planned to play anyway made it to the Cynthiana Country Club in time for a free drink.
