• A benefit ride for Jason Scott Nichols, who passed away May 30, 2015, will be held April 16 at 11 a.m. Lunch to follow at 1 p.m. Come and enjoy great music, a good time and support the family and friends of this life being remembered.
    A two hour ride will start at Flat Run Veteran’s Park. Motorcycles: Single riders, $10, couples, $15.
    The Country Boy’s Band will be providing the music. Bring your own lawn chairs and/or blankets.
    The plate lunch will be $5 (pulled pork sandwiches or hot dog with a drink and chips).

    Ghosts are no longer just a visitor on Halloween night, they have been known to make appearances at the Rohs Opera House on Pike Street year round.
    Bluegrass Ghost Chasers, based out of Frankfort, Ky., along with Keith Age, founder and president of the Louisville Ghost Hunters Society, were in Cynthiana at the Rohs Opera House Saturday for an overnight investigation.

  • The Community Safety Day was held Sunday, Sept. 13. Participating in the event were the Cynthiana Fire Department, Cynthiana Police Department, Browns EMS, Harrison County Search and Rescue and Air Methods. On display was a 1917 Curtiss JN-4 Biplane and a 1992 WACO YMF5C Super. Kids attending the event were given free plane rides and lots of goodies from the first responders.
