Hehr-Kearns exchange vows in...

Caroline Grace Hehr and Matthew Jared Kearns were married on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013 at Covenant Presbyterian Church in Cynthiana, Ky. The Rev. Warren French officiated the double-ring ceremony.
The bride, given in marriage by her parents, and escorted by her father, wore a strapless gown of ivory satin embellished with covered buttons, crystals and beading. Her gown featured a chapel-length train. She wore a fingertip-length veil that tapered to a V in the back.

April 27 – At 4 p.m., a non-injury accident was reported on KY 1842 six miles from town. Lucas Cummings was attempting to pass Tara Hardin on KY 1842 in a no passing zone and side swiped her.

Harrison County hunter education
class scheduled for May 20-22
If you plan on hunting this year and haven’t taken a safe hunter education class, you need to sign up for this class.
A safe hunter education class will be held May 20-22 at the Harrison County Extension Office. The classes are from 6-9 p.m. The 10-hour class is free, open to the public, and all materials are provided for each student. You must be nine years old or older to take the class.

Tpr. Ryan Gosser brought his canine drug partner to the Kentucky State Police Citizens’ Police Academy, which is held at the Licking Valley campus. He demonstrated how the dog will locate drugs in a vehicle and be rewarded by playing with a ball. 

   

City agrees to pay half of...

During a special meeting on Tuesday, the Cynthiana City Commission agreed to pay one-half of the delinquent tax bill for the Commission on Aging.
Mayor Steve Moses told commissioners that the city’s and county’s portions were adjusted to remove the penalties from the overall bill. The city will pay $22,997.71.
Moses said that during a meeting with an Internal Revenue Service agent on May 2 that the board of directors were assured there would be no criminal charges filed.
