The following information from the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office indicates drivers and/or owners whose vehicles were involved in accidents.
Dec. 9 -- At 8:33 a.m. a non-injury accident occured on US 62 two miles outside of town. Ross Jacobson lost control of his vehicle and hit a fence.
Dec. 13 – At 7:50 a.m., a non-injury two-vehicle accident occurred on US 62 over a mile from downtown. Eric O’Brien was turning left into Rick’s Auto when he with a vehicle driven by David Duncan in the oncoming lane.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) is opening the Conservation Stewardship Program (CSP) for new enrollments for federal fiscal year 2014. Now through Jan. 17, 2014, producers interested in participating in the program can submit applications to NRCS.
Only a last-second shot by St. Henry’s senior guard Nick Rechtin prevented the Harrison County Thorobreds from sweeping a weekend of basketball games in northern Kentucky Saturday night.
The Thorobreds dropped a 62-61 verdict on Rechtin’s last-second shot on Saturday after defeating Covington Holy Cross 73-58 the night before in Covington.
On Friday night, the Breds jumped out to an early 15-3 lead and it looked as though they would blow the Indians out of their own gym.
