“We got to look at several different combinations,” said Coach Larry Kendall. “We are trying to find out who can help us next basketball season.”
That is how Harrison County’s staff approached the three camps that they just completed during the last weeks.
The Georgetown College camp saw the Breds take four teams. They took a varsity “A” team and “B” team, a freshman team and an eighth grade squad to compete against multiple opponents.
When one imagines an American army veteran, it’s not likely that the image they see is that of Leon La. In fact, when he joined the army in his early 30s, there were only a few recruits in basic training that were even close to his age.
The Harrison County Fair will sponsor a “Pride in our Community” parade on Friday, July 4, at 4 p.m.
Parade route: Begins at Flat Run Veterans Park; turning right onto Oddville (all vehicles stay in the right lane); left onto Church; right onto Pike; right onto Main; right onto Mill St.; left onto Walnut; right onto Oddville; end back at Flat Run Veterans Park.
