An overturned truck blocked two lanes of traffic on U.S. 27 north for over four hours last Wednesday as local haulers cleaned up its entire cargo of ruined steaks, seafood and vegetables that had spilled out along the roadway.
The Harrison County Thorobreds improved to 12-1 for the season with a 10-1 win over Nicholas County (4-6) Monday in Carlisle.
The home-standing Bluejackets, who have only played a couple of times in the last weeks due to rain, showed some rust as they committed five errors in the contest.

The Harrison County Fillies had one bad inning which resulted in a loss to Shelby County in the opening game of the Vernon Bibb Memorial Classic held on Shirley Field this past weekend.
When the Fillies have a bad inning they go all out. For a good example, witness the first inning of their match up with the Lady Rockets.
Harrison County was down 5-0 in the top of the first before they got an out. The girls gave up 11 runs in the first inning.
