Mary McKenzie, a bereavement counselor with Hospice of the Bluegrass, has completed extensive training in healthcare communication and received the Designation in Communication Skills through the Center to Advance Palliative Care.
Fillies Soccer Camp
to be held June 8-10
The 2015 Fillies Soccer Camp will be held June 8-10 from 6-7:30 p.m. at Lebus Soccer Field for age 4 years to 6th grade. Cost of the camp will be $50.
Campers will all receive a fun and wholesome soccer experience. Each camper will receive a camp t-shirt during the course of the four day camp.

Cook sets long jump record
Kassidy Cook broke a Harrison County long-jump record last week, but was overlooked in the stats.
A recheck of the meet results from the Harrison County All Comers Meet held last Thursday uncovered the stats.
The Harrison County Fillies took the first step toward another 38th District title Tuesday as they eased by the Robertson County Lady Devils, 16-0, in three innings.
The Fillies improved to 22-8 with the win while Robertson County closed the season with a 1-10 record.
The Fillies made quick work of the game scoring two runs in the first and then plating 14 more in the next two innings for the easy win.
Wednesday’s championship game will be the third time that the Nicholas County and Harrison County girls have faced off this season.
One thing that educators like Angie Kendall know about kids is that they all want to do well. They want to succeed. But children don’t all learn at the same speed. Some students may need a setting outside of the traditional classroom to flourish.
