    On July 4 at 7:45 p.m., I was returning from Northern Kentucky on Hwy. 36. The light changed and as I proceeded it appeared from the way the orange barrels were that the blacktop area by the bridge was open one way.

    I admire the members of the Cynthiana Commission and the Harrison County Fiscal Court. I am serious. It takes courage to put one’s ego on the line and campaign for the office. I respect the people who do this, even if I disagree with some decisions.  They know that every decision they make will have some degree of opposition. Take for example, code enforcement.  

  • Main Street seeking volunteers

    There is so much excitement swirling through town. I can only hope through all this excitement, the citizens will find energy and motivation to lend a hand and get involved in their community. 

    Right now there are tons of things to do and ways to get involved. 

    Cynthiana Main Street is always looking for community members who are passionate about their town. We have several ways you can volunteer your time or expertise.
