To the editor:
I want to thank all of you that contributed to the Food Pantry back in the summer when we had a very low time. All of you were very generous to help keep the doors open and serve many in need.
Some of you have ask, is there some that abuse the pantry? My answer to that is not if we can help it. We keep pretty close tabs on the clients, but if some gets by us, that is between them and God. The number that really needs it and does not abuse it far outweighs those who do, so rest assured we are doing all we can to keep it running correctly.

To the editor:
On behalf of the Harrison County Commission on Aging, I would like to encourage your support of the vital services which the Harrison County Senior Citizens Center provides.  We are fortunate to have a Senior Center where our older family members and friends can be cared for, nurtured and comforted by a supportive and compassionate staff.

To the editor:
I am writing in support of the United Community Fund. This fund is used for various local agencies in Harrison County only. I am an ombudsman for our Cynthiana Nursing Home residents. Our agency is funded in part by the United Community Fund insuring nursing home residents have someone looking in on them and speaking up on their behalf.
We very much appreciate this as I’m sure every organization receiving this help appreciates it. The United Community Fund needs and deserves all our support.

To the editor:
It begins in July; spending ten hour days learning drill, practicing music, setting formations, feeling the sweltering heat rising from the asphalt in the high school parking lot. Watching as practices begin and end for others while these kids are still pushing through, from early morning until after dusk.  It will soon be drawing to a close in the blistering wind and freezing rain. It takes time, dedication, and commitment. I am talking about Marching Band and Harrison County High School has a rich tradition in this arena.
