    To the editor:

I am writing to congratulate the HCHS graduating class of 1966 on their highly successful 50 year class reunion.

Eighty-four graduates and their guests gathered for dinner at the Prizing House on June 30. About 150 people from near and far away shared memories of school days and informed others of life’s adventures since last they met. It was a great occasion.

I want to encourage other classes to celebrate with reunions.

On July 4 at 7:45 p.m., I was returning from Northern Kentucky on Hwy. 36. The light changed and as I proceeded it appeared from the way the orange barrels were that the blacktop area by the bridge was open one way.

I admire the members of the Cynthiana Commission and the Harrison County Fiscal Court. I am serious. It takes courage to put one’s ego on the line and campaign for the office. I respect the people who do this, even if I disagree with some decisions.  They know that every decision they make will have some degree of opposition. Take for example, code enforcement.

The parishioners of St. Edward thank everyone who supported our Ice Cream Social. Your support helped the Social to be a great success. All proceeds benefit the operation of St. Edward School.
We very much appreciate the kindness and generosity of our local businesses which provided donations and items for our silent auction. We are grateful to the many members of our local churches and community who stopped by for lunch and enjoyed some of our home made ice cream and cake. Thanks for your support.

    To the editor:
I am writing this letter with the hope that there are some supporters of PTSD and veteran suicides. With the number of vets committing suicides daily, at least 22 maybe more a day, this number is too high.

I live in the 6th District and I will be voting for Roger Brill in the primary because Andy Barr has proved to be an establishment Republican. Mr. Barr assured us that he would oppose the liberal agenda. His promises collapsed when he voted with Henry Reid and Nancy Pelosi for the Omnibus spending bill which fully funded Planned Parenthood, sanctuary cities, and Executive amnesty for two more years. He cannot defend why he voted for the things he says he stands against. I feel sold out.

There are seven precincts in Harrison County represented by Congressman Andy Barr of the Sixth Congressional District.  Registered Republicans in Eastside, Southside, Buena Vista, Clifton Village, Extension Office, City Fire Department and Library have an opportunity to vote for a Harrison County citizen, Roger Brill in the upcoming Republican Primary Election, May 17, 2016.
