  • The gift of so many good yesterdays

    Remember that moment when out of the blue you felt out of the regular pattern of time and space? Some people call it de’ja vu, some shiver and say someone stepped on their grave and others just deny it happened.
    Me? I think the experience is delightful. It always puts me in the mind of the conjure woman who lived up one of the hollers in the mountains where I grew up.

    Good-bye 2016.
    Many can probably say that 2016 was a very good year, while others are still dealing with tragedies that have shaken their families.
    Cynthiana has fared well in the last 12 months under the leadership of several young minds and bodies. Young being younger than me!
    There are still some things I’d like to see, maybe not in 2017, but certainly sooner rather than later.
    I would like for the power lines downtown to be buried. Is that a life or death wish? Of course not. However, I’m thinking big here.
