Harrison County Sheriff’s Deputy Joe Daniel escorts shooting suspect Thomas VanMeter to a transportation cruiser. VanMeter has been charged with four counts of attempted murder. VanMeter said he wanted to make a statement to the media. However, he declined comment on Wednesday morning through Bourbon County Detention Center staff.

A 20-hour man-hunt ended on Tuesday morning when four Harrison County deputies apprehended Thomas Field VanMeter in a rain-soaked field near his farm on White Oak-Tricum Pike (KY 1842).
He has been charged with four counts of attempted murder: two against police officers and two against the men in a helicopter that was shot down.
