The farmers market will soon have a new and permanent home at Flat Run Veterans’ Park.
Construction is scheduled to begin on the $150,000 facility later this week.
“I am so excited,” said Sue Clifford, who serves as secretary of the farmers market committee. “I can’t wait for it to open...”
Clifford was one of many who helped organize the group of local produce sellers over 10 years ago.
“We’ve been in six or eight locations since we’ve been organized,” Clifford said Monday morning.
