    Cynthiana City Commission

    To the editor:

I’ve been looking over the field of candidates for city commissioner. And what a diverse list it is. This means my choices are as varied as the profile of our community itself. And that’s a good thing.

Of course I’ll be casting my usual vote for the good old boys, they have mostly my interest and will represent my view at every commissioner’s meeting, I hope.

  • Dig, Divide and Plant in Fall

There is a strange emotional thing that happens to gardeners as the summer comes to a close. Our gardens look a bit ragged and are beginning to go dormant. By now my enthusiasm for gardening is replaced by my ambitions for what I want my garden to look like next year. It’s perfect timing, really, because fall in Kentuckiana is the best time to plant. No more droughts or 90 degree days.
