Holiday cheer camp set

Children in grades K thru 5 are invited to spread some holiday cheer with the Harrison County High School varsity cheerleaders at their HCHS Holiday Cheer Camp on Saturday, Dec. 6. The camp will begin at 10 a.m. and run until 3 p.m.  Lunch and a tee shirt will be provided with family discounts available.

Cost of the one-day camp will be $25 if registered in advance and $30 at the door. Campers will also be admitted free of charge, and will perform, during the Harrison County Thorobred varsity game on Tuesday, Dec. 9.

To the editor:

This is a letter to the kid on the school bus who threw the paint ball on the car traveling behind the bus.

This is my sister-in-law and her husband. She was driving and the paint was all over the windshield and car. She could not see and there could have been a serious accident.

They are an elderly couple, in very poor health and dearly loved by the community.

When you do wrong it always comes back to you. If you don’t learn this now, you are going to have a sorry life.

On Nov. 2, 2008, Indian Creek Christian Church celebrated the 100th Anniversary of its “Old Brick Meeting House.” The Indian Creek congregation began in 1803 under the influence of Barton W. Stone (Cane Ridge, Bourbon County) and was one of the original members of Springfield Presbytery. The congregation first met in the Endicott Meeting house but later built its own building in 1852.
