  • Harrison eighth graders roll at Clark, seventh loses

    The Harrison County Middle School seventh grade Colts lost against Clark Middle on Thursday night 24-8 in a game that opened with the home team running back the opening kick off for a score.  
    The seventh grade squad was out-manned in this game as the Clark Middle team featured some big, fast runners and a huge line.  
    Coaches Randolph Thomas and Eric Reed’s charges did not give up though as after trailing 24-0 at the half, they came back and held Clark Middle scoreless in the final half.  

  • Harrison County cross country runners have solid outing in Coaches Classic

    Sixth Grader Zach Getting finished second of 52 runners in the Boys Grade Six and under division to highlight a good day overall for the Harrison County Cross Country team in the George Rogers Clark Coaches Classic Meet in Winchester on Saturday.  
    Getting’s fellow sixth grader Corey Wagoner also ran in this race finishing 42nd.
    The varsity boys team was fifth of the 13 teams in their classification with junior Grant Carr leading the way with a 13th place finish of the 94 runners.  
    Carr covered the 5000M in 18:29.

    Bryson and Karsyn Stanfield announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their mom and dad, Kristen Marshall and Josh Stanfield.
    Marshall is the daughter of Tim and Pam Marshall of Texas and the granddaughter of Paul and Thelma Zint of Sadieville.
    Stanfield is the son of Carol Hunt of Cynthiana and Doug Stanfield of Georgetown. He is the grandson of Mary and Ollie Guy of Carlisle and Nina Stanfield of Cynthiana and the late Clyde Stanfield.
