Two Harrison County residents have earned academic honors from Lindsey Wilson College for the 2008 fall semester.

Named to the Dean’s List are: Robert Newcomb, a human services and counseling senior from Cynthiana; and Tami Setters, a human services and counseling senior from Cynthiana.

Students named to the Dean’s List have a semester grade point average of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 grade scale in 12 hours of academic credit.

Shade Steven White III

Shade Steven White III was born to Shade Steven Jr. and Miranda White of Berry, Ky. on Nov. 12, 2008 at Harrison Memorial Hospital. He weighed 7 lbs. 7 oz., and is welcomed by his sister, Kendall Leigh.

Maternal grandparents are William and Mary McFarland of Cynthiana; maternal great-grandparents are the late Luther and Norma Fogle and George Yazell Sr. and the late Betty Yazell.

Doubtless many of our elderly citizens will remember him and various locations of the shop, ranging from Jones Row on north Court Square to the Rankin Hotel, now the Hammond building on Pike Street; For a brief time he plied his calling in the basement of the new brick hotel.”
