    Traffic Cases
    The following information from the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office indicates drivers and/or owners whose vehicles were involved in accidents.
    Dec. 19 -- At 10:04 p.m., a non-injury accident occurred on KY 356 two miles from town. Eva Fischbach ran off the road when she swerved to avoid an animal.
    Dec. 20 -- At 8:45 a.m., a non-injury accident occurred on US 62 eight miles outside of town. Eric Thomason struck a car driven by Kristi Jacobs at the intersection of US 62 and KY 1842.

  • Knights of Columbus to sponsor poster contest

    The Knights of Columbus council #13196 is sponsoring a “Substance Abuse Awareness Poster Contest” for ages 8-14.
    Each poster must include a slogan reflecting either Alcohol Awareness or Drug Awareness and Abuse along with an original visual image on paper or posterboard sized between 8 1/2 x 11” to 11 x 17”.
    Deadline for judging will be Jan. 21 for a $50 first place gift card, a $25 second place and $10 for third.
