  • Mattmiller to attend Kentucky Book Fair

    Mark Mattmiller has been invited by the Kentucky Book Fair to show, sign and sell his new book, “Neighboring.” 

    The Book Fair will be held Saturday, Nov. 16, at the Convention Center in Frankfort, Ky. The hours are 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. 

  • Forum to address drug-related problems in community

    Fast on the heels of  Operation Black Friday, which resulted in over a dozen drug-related arrests in Harrison County alone, Champions for a Drug-Free Harrison County is sponsoring a community meeting to discuss ways to address the epidemic and heal the damage that drug addiction has on the community and its families.

  • Licking Valley Art Gallery hosts fall art show

    The Licking Valley Art Gallery hosted the opening of the fall art show on Friday, Oct. 25, with 47 people attending.
    There is a wide variety of art hanging on the walls at the Licking Valley Campus extension in Harrison Square such as paintings, photographs, collages, sculptures, and cartoons.

  • LVC to host a poetry reading Nov. 19

    The Licking Valley Campus library will be hosting a poetry reading featuring celebrated author, George Ella Lyon and MCTC Professor and distinguished writer, Dr. Lynn Shaffer.  
    The public is invited to attend this special reading on Tuesday, Nov. 19, at the LVC library at 11 a.m. or 5:30 p.m.  Both poets will share poetry from their recently published books.
    Refreshments will be served.
