    Landon Kinney, son of Jeff and Kim Kinney, was prepared for any snowball fight that might break out. The Kinneys, along with daughter, Brooke,  spent some family time outdoors on Monday playing in the five-plus inches of snow. The warmer temperatures brought several children and families outside.

    Joshua Frank Fryman, 21, who was a passenger in a car that crashed on KY 36 West Friday morning, died six hours later of the injuries received in the wreck. The driver was released from UK earlier this week.

    A family court judge has jurisdiction over divorces, child custody, visitation, adoption, domestic violence, child dependency, neglect and abuse proceedings.

  • Peak vies for county judge-executive

    Dean Peak has announced his candidacy for the office of Harrison County Judge-Executive.

    A lifelong native of Cynthiana, Peak was born to Roy Jr. and Ann Bowman Peak on Jan. 8, 1951. After graduating from Harrison County High School, the younger Peak attended the University of Kentucky. He is a Vietnam War Veteran, having served four years in the U.S. Naval Submarine Force.

  • Paul seeking re-election as family court judge

    Barbara Paul has announced her candidacy for re-election to the office of Circuit Judge, Family Court Division, 18th Judicial Circuit including Harrison, Nicholas, Pendleton and Robertson counties.  

    Paul has served as family court judge for a little more than five years. Family Court cases are divorce, custody, domestic violence, abuse/neglect of children, adoption and other related matters.
