    The HMH Radiology Department received re-accreditation by the American College of Radiology (ACR) in the Computed Tomography (CT) services. The program is accredited for the 64-Slice GE CT Scanner for adult and pediatric patients.

  • Fauste qualifies to compete at world’s largest rodeo

    Haley Fauste, a 12th grade student at Harrison County High School has earned a position on the Kentucky state/provincial National High School rodeo team and will be traveling with fellow teammates to Gillette, Wyoming, July 16-22 to compete at the 69th annual National High School Finals Rodeo (NHSFR) in the Breakaway Roping, Barrel Racing, and Team Roping competitions.

  • KSP warns warmer weather poses danger for children

    Temperatures are on the rise this week and KSP is warning parents not to leave a child alone in a hot car. It may seem like common sense, but every year law enforcement agencies answer calls about unattended children in vehicles.
    KidsandCars.org reports that 39 children died in the U.S. during 2016 from vehicular heat stroke with 11 deaths already in 2017.

    If it’s true, as the proverb says, that “envy rots the bones,” then my bones are dust.
    Every once in awhile I hear from a certain friend whose life is perfect, or so I think.
    Just recently she posted on Facebook: “Well, we can cross a trip to Ireland off our list!! Had a fabulous vacation with all our wonderful kids, their spouses and our five -- five!! -- adorable grandbabies!!!”

  • It’s so good to be in the same boat!

    “Though we did not all come over on the same ship, we are all in the same boat.” WOW! Whoever said that first, got it right.
    Two weeks after open heart surgery, God finally got me into the boat. And it is really a wonderful blessing, though quite torturous, right now. It has taught me an important lesson for all of us who take pride in being the one who always does for everybody else and allows nobody to help us.
